OLNEY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A family and their 10 dogs were rescued Tuesday evening after their house caught on fire.

According to Montgomery County fire officials, the fire began in the garage and spread to the house. Fuel in the vehicles in the garage may have helped spread the fire.

Neither the family nor their 10 dogs suffered any injuries.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but the damage is estimated to be as much as $500,000.

The fire started at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 17000 block of Winter Laurel Way.
