Counselors for classmates of Olney teen killed in crash | News
OLNEY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Grief counselors will be at Sherwood High School in Olney, Md. Tuesday to help classmates come to grips with the death of a 15-year-old student killed in a car crash over the weekend.
Family, friends and neighbors returned to the site where Shawn Gangloff was killed Saturday morning. Many still cannot believe their friend is gone.
The blanket of flowers keeps growing at the base of a tree for Shawn Gangloff. The tree is right where the 15-year-old and two other teens crashed.
The three teens attended a party before the accident. Regardless of what happened that night, community members are telling WUSA9 they are dealing with a life that ended too short. Even those who did not know the victim are stopping by to pay respect.
The Sherwood High School Principal also wrote an e-mail Monday stating that this is such a difficult time for the students involved in the accident, their families, the students, staff and the community. The Principal also said they are working to provide grieving classmates with help when students return to school Tuesday.
