3 people injured in Md. accident

LNEY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Three teenagers are severely injured after a single car collision that happened Saturday morning in Olney, Md.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, crews responded to the accident around 1:23 a.m. in the area of Hines Road and Macduff Avenue.

The driver and passenger in the front of the car were trapped inside, authorities said. The person sitting in the back had been ejected from the car.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible was going westbound on Hines Road towards Cashell Road, police said. The vehicle suddenly left the road and hit a tree right before Macduff Avenue.

Police said the vehicle then crossed on MacDuff Avenue and hit a light pole and a telephone box. The vehicle rolled over and came to a halt.

All three of the teenagers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities. The person who was sitting in the back is being treated for life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The driver has been identified as Austin Donovan Hall, 17, of the 3400 block of Tanterra Circle in Brookville. He has serious injuries, authorities said.

The front passenger has been identified as Maxwell Elliot Dechter, 17, of the 800 block of Lindsey Manor Lane in Silver Spring. He also has serious injuries, police said.

Shawn Richard, Gangloff, 15, of the 17600 block of Princess Anne Drive in Olney, was sitting in the back and has life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
